WHEN IS SKINBOOSTER TREATMENT WARRANTED?
This procedure is recommended for those who want to remove signs of the skin aging from their face, neck, décolleté or hands, without surgery. During Skinbooster treatment, the hyaluronic acid introduced into the middle layer of the skin continuously hydrates the skin, thus rejuvenating it. It is recommended for both men and women over the age of 30, as by then the natural levels of the skin’s hyaluronic acid are already significantly reduced.
WHAT HAPPENS AT THE FIRST CONSULTATION?
As with any procedure, Skinbooster treatment is preceded by a consultation with our specialist. This provides an opportunity for the specialist to assess the current condition of the skin, to make a personalized proposal based on this, and according to your needs and expectations, determine which treatment, or possibly combination of treatments, is most ideal for you. The specialist then draws up a treatment plan: they decide on the course of the procedure - where and how much Skinbooster may be needed, and the amount to be applied.
PREPARING FOR THE INTERVENTION
In contrast to the preparations for plastic surgeries, no further examinations are required following the consultation, but the introduction of some lifestyle changes may be useful to increase the outcome of the treatment. We recommend that you do not smoke, thus promoting the skin’s regeneration processes. Use of aspirin, ginkgo biloba and other herbal medicines that may affect blood clotting are not recommended for two weeks prior to a Skinbooster treatment.
WHAT HAPPENS DURING THE INTERVENTION?
There are two versions of the 15-20-minute procedure, both performed under local anesthesia. After professional cleansing of the affected skin surface and anesthesia, our specialist delivers hyaluronic acid to just below the skin surface with a fine needle around the décolleté, neck or the back of the hands.
WHAT RESULTS CAN YOU EXPECT FROM THE INTERVENTION?
During Skinbooster treatment, the hyaluronic acid delivered to the skin is gradually distributed among the tissues, thus ensuring the right amount of water content to keep the skin hydrated and youthful. To achieve a lasting result, it is recommended to perform 2 suitable courses, 4-6 weeks apart. Skinbooster treatment does not replenish the volume of facial tissue, but rejuvenates the texture and structure of the skin, smoothing out small wrinkles and making your appearance radiant.
HEALING, AFTERCARE
You can return to your daily routine immediately after treatment, but avoid the solarium, sunbathing, facial massage and strenuous exercise for two weeks after the procedure. Redness, swelling, and mild bruising may occur, but will fade within a few days, and as a precaution, we recommend cooling and hydrating the treated skin area properly. You should not expect an allergic reaction or subsequent complications. There is a minimal chance of any complications following Skinbooster treatment, and at the first consultation our specialist will inform you of these.
